ACIM Speaks - The Christmas Podcast

ACIM Speaks - The Christmas Podcast

This is the Christmas podcast from ACIM Speaks. Whether you celebrate or observe Christmas or any other marker this season, whether the words used in A Course in Miracles have meaning for you, or do not - you can replace the words with words or symbols that resonate with you - the message of the Course will be the same.

The Voice of the Course once told Helen that she was being given charge of "one way" to God. The way, the method, or the path you choose is up to you, but the end of the journey is the same.

Helen did ask, "Why me?" And was told, "Because I knew you would do it." Some have said that Helen did not embrace the message of the Course, but she knew the message of the Course very well. She taught the message and mentored the first "students" of the Course. Helen's story is very interesting and more about her story will come to us in time.

When I first thought about doing this Christmas podcast, I thought I would read only a couple of the poetic passages in the Course that mention Christmas. But I cannot give only the passages that everyone knows, and has heard, without the context. I believe that mashups can be made from different sections of the Course because the message is consistent. But various quotes alone make the Course sound glib, and that is not my intention. In reading over the selections for this podcast, it is clear that they follow gracefully from the earlier two podcasts on the season of Christmas and the Atonement.

To see the text from the readings, check Selections and Mini-Chapters from the text of A Course in Miracles. The text from this podcast will be online over the next few days, in an effort to help us to remember the message.

The next ACIM Speaks podcast will be one for the New Year.
