Edgar Cayce and Jesus

Edgar Cayce and Jesus

I wanted to read Cayce's references to Jesus. Was there any indication that Cayce was channeling John the Baptist? I didn't find that, at least not specifically; I could see how it could be inferred though. Since there was apparently some connection between the Association for Research and Enlightenment and Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford, I wondered what that was. What did Cayce say about Jesus?

As mentioned earlier in the series, the Cayce readings are organized by topic and there were binders of transcripts with the label "Jesus" on them. I went to A.R.E. whenever I could, which was usually two to five times a week. I opened the binders and began reading. I took notes with pen and paper. I haven't transcribed those notes. It was not necessary to do so. The transcripts of all the Cayce readings are available from the Association for Research and Enlightenment. I found what I was looking for and was satisfied with that. The references to Jesus in the Cayce readings was consistent with A Course in Miracles. Cayce spoke of, and sometimes for, the same Jesus that we know from A Course in Miracles. The same Jesus who spoke of forgiveness and loving thy self and thy neighbor. More than that, we do not need.

Still, the question of the connection between the scribes of A Course in Miracles and Cayce remained. Are some things intended to remain a mystery for some to know and others to speculate on indefinitely? This will be the subject of the next post in this series.
