ACIM Speaks Podcast - Lord, Here I Am

ACIM Speaks Podcast - Lord, Here I Am

Apologies for taking so long to get this podcast episode up. While I was traveling, I recorded, edited, and published two episodes, but adjusting and getting settled in has taken longer.

This ACIM Speaks episode is on the role of teachers, healers, professors, and miracle workers–terms A Course in Miracles uses interchangeably. Bill Thetford was ever the reluctant professor and much of the discussion was originally for him. It became the section in the text, "Special Principles for Miracle Workers."

The next episode will be a brief podcast reading of passage from the text suitable for Thanksgiving Grace.

ACIM Speaks - A Holy Encounter

ACIM Speaks - Christmas and The Holy Encounter

This episode is on The Curriculum of the Atonement. In the last episode, we covered two parts and in this one, the third part, A Holy Encounter. And, as we are in the season of Christmas, another brief passage from the notes of A Course in Miracles on Christmas. The reading of A Holy Encounter is followed by a clip of Bill Thetford reading one of his favorite passages from the Course. Enjoy.

The audio quality was better in the previous episode. I will make the next episode in the same manner as that one.

A Course in Miracles was given over a seven year period and most of the world's holidays and seasons were mentioned. There were several passages regarding Christmas. The next episode will have more of those passages and will be online before Christmas - and with better audio quality.

To see the text from the readings, check Selections and Mini-Chapters from the text of A Course in Miracles.

You have never understood what “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you” means. The reason you cannot understand it is because it is Not understandable to the ego, which interprets it as if something outside is inside, which does not mean anything. The word “within” does not belong. The Kingdom of Heaven Is you.

What else But you did the Creator create? And what else but you Is His Kingdom? This is the whole message of the Atonement, a message which, in its totality transcends the sum of its parts. Christmas is not a time; it is a state of mind. The Christ Mind wills from the Soul, not from the Ego, and the Christ Mind Is yours.

You, too, have a Kingdom which your Soul has created. It has not ceased to create because your ego has set you on the road of perception. Your Soul’s creations are no more fatherless than you are. Your ego and your Soul will never be co-creators, but your Soul and Your Creator will Always be. Be confident that your creations are as safe as you are. The Kingdom is perfectly united and perfectly protected, and the ego will not prevail against it. Amen.

ACIM Speaks Podcast on Principle 48 and Lesson 188 read by Bill Thetford

ACIM Speaks Podcast on Principle 48 and Lesson 188 read by Bill Thetford

In Principle 48, from the Principles of Miracles in A Course in Miracles, there is detailed discussion of our perception of time. This reinforces discussions begun earlier in the Principles.

Then, from a recording of Bill Thetford from the 1970's, a reading of Lesson 188, The Peace of God, from the Workbook of A Course in Miracles.

In listening to them together, we come to understand how they go together and reinforce each other.

The miracle abolishes the need for lower order concerns.

The miracle abolishes the need for lower order concerns. Since it is an illogical, or out-of-pattern time interval by definition, the ordinary considerations of time and space do not apply.

For example, I do not regard time as you do, and Kolb’s1 space problem is not mine. When you perform a miracle, I will arrange both time and space to adjust to it.
