ACIM Speaks Podcast: The Curriculum of the Atonement

ACIM Speaks Podcast The Curriculum of the Atonement

Everything is it's own time. A season. Many celebrations. One Light returns. Peace is.

This episode of ACIM Speaks Podcast is a message for the season and a selection from the text of A Course in Miracles called The Curriculum of the Atonement. It follows naturally from the last episode which was on teaching, healing, and professing; words that A Course in Miracles uses interchangeably. This selection was also chosen because it teaches us about Light, which is the content of the season we are in currently: Christmas.

Christmas is a season. It wasn't the birthday of Jesus. I've heard a couple of different times for that, but that does not matter. The calendar time of Christmas was chosen because it was already a holiday, celebrated in the culture of the day. It was a political decision. It was a celebration of the return of light. Symbolically, it all fits together. Even atheists acknowledge the seasons. So, why not have a celebration of light, Christ-mas, in this season? The message got lost, and now we bring it back.

Michaelangelo, as he was painting the Sistene Chapel, was asked why some of the angels had halos and some did not. He replied that, "The ones who are listening have halos." The ones who are listening.

Those who have found the light will show the way.

The selection for The Curriculum of the Atonement is in three parts. The first two are in this podcast, and the third in the next episode. There will be two more episodes of ACIM Speaks before Christmas. Comments welcome. Selections and Mini-Chapters from the text of A Course in Miracles is where you will find the text of the reading.
