The Miracles Journal is A Course In Miracles reformatted.

The Miracles Journal is a specially formatted document based on the public domain version of A Course In Miracles. It was thoroughly edited for spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Each chapter section is on its own page. There is a column for your own journal, notes, or quotes from the text is on each page. Additionally, there is space at the bottom of each page for use as you wish.

The Miracles Journal is simply the easiest way to read and study A Course In Miracles on a computer.

What is A Course In Miracles? That is a question that many have attempted to answer. A recent Google search showed approximately 5000 web pages associated with A Course In Miracles. In brief, is it a self-study course in personal spirituality. It is a way of understanding who we are, what we are, our spirituality and ego, forgiveness, the Holy Spirit, and much more, all in a "language you can love and understand." Is it the only way to miracles? No. If you are drawn to its language and teaching, it is for you. There are many paths to miracles and spirituality.

A Course In Miracles has been online in various formats and versions for some time now. A few years ago the original published version went into public domain. I'm sure many of you have seen one or more html versions of the text online. The html versions I've seen have had various typos, a mix of US and UK spellings, random italicized words, and stray punctuation. Another problem with the html versions is that when you close the file or your browser or restart your computer, you lose your place and start over in the file. Navigation in the html versions is not ideal for studying.

I have thoroughly edited, for spelling, grammatical errors, punctuation, cleared the italics, made all the English spellings of one kind (US standard). I've put all this into a software format called Notebook. This is a Mac only software. I realize this limits the audience for it, but there are many advantages to using this program for this text.

Each chapter section in one Notebook page. Notebook remembers where you left each page when you close the program, not just one page, but multiple pages you might be reading at any given time. Notebook indexes every word used in a document. It has exceptional search capabilities. With Notebook, and the "Cornell Note Taking Pages," the format chosen for this document, you can write your own journal of notes alongside the original text, writing in the margin, as it were.

Notebook pages can be automatically synced to an iPod. Just a click in the pull down menu will place a icon next to the title on the page and the sync will take place the next time you sync your iPod, placing the text in the Notes section.

One a few pages, I've placed some quotes in the left column. These are some of the well known quotes from A Course In Miracles, or snippets of instruction, or snippets of beautiful verse. A third section, below the two columns is blank. The Notebook document you will receive is fully editable and you may enter or delete text anywhere, in any section, of the document.

I am not connected to Notebook or Circus Ponies Software in any way. I am simply a long time user of the program and found it to be unique and the best format for reading and reviewing an electronic version of A Course In Miracles.

The file that is being made available includes all of the Text in public domain, plus the Manual for Teachers, called Teachers' Handbook in this version, and Clarification of Terms, called Terminology in this version. The file that is being made available does NOT include the Workbook. The file that is being made available REQUIRES Circus Ponies' NOTEBOOK software. The Notebook software REQUIRES a MAC computer. The file that is offered here will be delivered electronically either via email in a zip archived file. The Workbook will be available as a separate file.

This is considered a derivative work based on the original hardcover published version of A Course In Miracles. It contains all of the public domain text (edited for spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors) plus standard text edited for clarity. It has been assigned a Creative Commons license 3.0.
