ACIM Speaks
Our own podcast, ACIM Speaks, starting 2010 with 20 episodes from 2009 already online. It begins with a reading of the epilogue, Journey Without Distance, and continues with a discussion to help lower the barriers to understanding as well as foster a deeper understanding of A Course in Miracles. ACIM Speaks, the podcast of The Miracles Journal Project.
Empowered Living Radio
Empowered Living podcast is the recording of Empowered Living Radio show from Blog Talk Radio and A Better Tomorrow, hosted by Steve Maraboli.

Steve Maraboli interviews celebrity New Age folks, authors and others who have contributed to the movement. As a podcast, it's long, each podcast is two hours, the show is recorded at a low bit rate, and the advertising is louder than the show itself, which is annoying. But Steve Maraboli's sincere enthusiasm for empowered living, spirit, and going beyond mediocrity keep me listening.
I found this podcast because Steve had interviewed an early teacher of mine. Then I discovered another and they were both excellent interviews.

A Course in Marigolds
The Classic, extremely funny, parody of A Course in Miracles, by Michael Stillwater, A Course in Marigolds is a must read for any serious Course student. Also click on the home link for some great music by the same author-artist.
Whereas A Course in Miracles guides the student from spiritual confusion to clarity, A Course in Marigolds leads unsuspecting readers from happy normalcy to the brink of insanity.

Lifestyle Design
A new category combining new approaches to personal freedom, personal growth, various counseling or consultations. A Course in Miracles is the ultimate "lifestyle design" program. And, while I previously referred to my own approach to such work as "pastoral counseling," I will be leaning more on this new term instead. Also, humor and laughter for the previously humorless is excellent therapy!
The Art of Non-Conformity
I discovered this site some time ago. I'd check back once in a while and the message is consistently good. Chris Guillebeau decided that the best route to take in life is one of non-conformity. He plans on visiting every country on our planet, which may seem easy on some days and not so easy on other days. In any case, he shares what he's learned, volunteers for good, and he seems like a great guy. Check out his site. It is worth the trip.
Duhism

Abraham-Hicks on the
Art of Allowing Duhism is the faux-losophy of Bob Tzu. It's brilliant. And it doesn't hurt that Bob Tzu found and followed me before I knew who he was, so it follows that I find him to be of extraordinary brilliance. The basics of Duhism is that it pokes fun of, and even sometimes stabs at, the aspects of spirituality and the related fads that have become ubiquitous, misunderstood, and part of pop culture. Bob's free ebook, The Duh of Success, should you decide to undertake its lessons, will be the second or third most important book you will ever read; for some of us, it will be all we need to set us on the path of success. But, if it doesn't work for you, there is The Duh of Success, Part II, and special programs you can join if you need further assistance.
Laughter Yoga
the world cannot be saved.
- A Course in Miracles

Healing with laughter was used by Norman Cousins to heal himself and humor was used by Dr. Patch Adams while developing his vision for a new model health care design. As serious as his work is, surgeon and cancer specialist, humor is also an important part of Dr. Bernie Siegel presentations. Now, Dr. Madan Kataria uncovered a type of yoga practice called hasya yoga that produced lasting deep laughter and he is teaching it around the world. The website is a great resource where you can find links to local groups and recorded laugh sessions.
Suze Orman
here's my chance to share some Suze with you.

When I first saw her on PBS, I thought everyone knew who Suze Orman was except me until that moment. Clearly that was not true and still isn't. So here is my chance to share some Suze with you.
Suze Orman is the financial advisor of our time. She tells is like it is. She knows what it is. She not beholding to any corporation. You are the beneficiary when you listen to her.

My Teachers
These are my teachers.
Caroline Myss
Caroline Myss, Teacher, Author, Medical Intuitive
If it were not for Caroline Myss, I might not be here writing this and creating this website. I'm not saying that Caroline Myss was the only influence. Many events, things, incidents brought me to this path. But meeting Caroline Myss became a significant juncture. Briefly, this is how it happened:
A client was going to attend an all-day workshop given by a psychic and a doctor who did guided meditations. Later, Myss would call herself a "medical intuitive." It was being held at a free health clinic and this was 1986 give or take a year (I'll check my old journals one of these days). At first, I turned down the invitation. I'd had excellent teachers already. Plus, the workshop was aimed at people who were seeking healing. But my friend said that he was told to bring a support person and, as I was his therapist, he was asking me to attend with him.
Around twenty people were there and, for the most part, we sat on a carpeted floor. Caroline was excellent in helping people discover their limitations, where, how they held their discomfort or illness. I was the observer, watching Caroline make her observations and interacting with individuals and the group. She was right-on at all times. When you are in the presence of truth, you know it. And, let me tell you, I would not say that casually. It was not easy to match the caliber of teachers I had at Interface Foundation. I felt the day was well spent.
Before the workshop was over, however, Caroline asked the group if anyone had heard of A Course in Miracles. I had heard of A Course in Miracles. I raised my hand. Caroline Myss then looked right at me and asked, "Will you lead these people in a study group and help them learn this?"
I said yes.
I did not even have the books.
The workshop was on a Saturday. The following day, the same friend told me about another "healer" from the Philippines who was going to be at a Unity Church on Tuesday. Again, at first, I declined the invitation, but my friend thought I should go. I went. The demonstration was one of the kind some would call "chicken fat and cotton balls" and was plainly a demonstration of slight of hand. I don't think anyone was impressed. But healing can come in any form an individual believes in. Even placebos work, after all. Healing is an internal discovery, not something someone does to you.
Nevertheless, there was a young man present who was the curator and historian of the building. He spotted me as a new face in the church. This was the first church that Charles and Myrtle Fillmore built, near downtown Kansas City. When the demonstration was over, the man came over to me and offered to give me a tour of the building. After a brief history lesson, I was taken to the second floor. There was a library. I noticed A Course in Miracles on a shelf. It was the three volume hard cover 1976 edition. I voiced my observation.
"Yes," the young man said. He went over to pick up the books. He asked, "would you like to borrow them?" as he placed them in my hands. I asked how long could I "borrow" them. He said, "as long as you need them. I understand it takes at least a year." So, there you have it; three days after I said "yes," I would teach A Course in Miracles, the books were in my hands. But that's not all.
When I opened the cover, there was a name hand-written inside. It was the name of a woman I met and counseled once. She had since passed away and left her books to that library by way of her friend who was then standing before me.
Obviously, there's more to the story and history since then, but that's how A Course in Miracles came to me.
I whole-heartedly recommend Caroline Myss' books and recordings. If you have an opportunity to be present at one of Caroline's talks or workshops, it will be an extraordinary experience. Caroline Myss will be speaking at each of the I Can Do It Conferences.

Haiti Projects Inc.
Haiti Projects was already on the ground in Haiti when the earthquake struck. Volunteers with the organization are working to alleviate suffering from the recent earthquake. Having been involved with an organization that worked locally in post-Katrina New Orleans, I believe that this is a good way to help people without the immense overhead of a large organization.
Haiti Projects, Inc. is a nonprofit operating in Fond des Blancs, a mountainous region where there is a high birth rate, high illiteracy rate, rampant deforestation and soil erosion. Widespread poverty and malnutrition, coupled with virtually no employment opportunities or industry, make this region one of the most destitute anywhere in the world. Haiti Projects is working to empower the locals through healthcare, education, vocational training and micro-lending—creating opportunity for families where none existed before.
The partnership between Sarah Hackett, the founder of Haiti Projects, and the women of Fond des Blancs enables both to find greater joy, purpose and meaning in life. It seems to me that they have empowered one another—Sarah demonstrating how one person can affect great change, and the women of Fond des Blancs proving that they are among the most brave, creative and resilient anywhere in the world.
~ Isabel Allende
This article conveys what it was like in Haiti at the time of the earthquake. Sarah Hackett, 83 year old nurse, founder of Haiti Project, tells of devastation in Haiti in this Boston Globe story.
Winds of Hope
It’s hard to understand why we, up here, are so lucky. During these three weeks of flight in the insulated environment of our capsule, there was no end to the suffering for many of the inhabitants of this planet; a planet that had nevertheless filled us with such wonder. We must surely do something to relieve some of this poverty, and the fame we are headed towards should serve exactly this purpose.”
- Excerpt from the travel log of the Breitling Orbiter 3
Upon their return, Piccard and Jones1 decided to dedicate their adventure to the children of the world and devote their success to fighting human suffering and forgotten diseases. The Winds of Hope Foundation was thus created on 9/9/1999.
