New ACIM Speaks episode:

Twitter

I am ACIM Speaks on Twitter

I like Twitter. I liked the original Twitter better, it was faster, but I still like Twitter. With the new Twitter, I sometimes only check in there once or twice a week. The new Twitter takes too long to load and consumes a too much of my computer's resources to hang out there as often as I would if it didn't. So sometimes people follow me on Twitter and unfollow before I've even had a chance to know who they are. Well, I guess they weren't really interested in what I had to say anyway. Some people are using software to do this.

I liked the old Twitter better.

Direct Messages

Most DMs now are either invitations to Facebook or sales pitches of some kind. It is really weird. They are of no use at all now. Again, many DMs are sent automatically.

Once someone sent a DM in the form of a "nice thought." I replied and asked if there was anything in particular that he was responding to. No response. Then one day I happened to see that he was online at the same time I was and I sent a reply again. I got a response this time; it was "no, just thought of it." Apparently he had taken a "how to be the next guru" webinar or something and sending random DMs was one of the recommended practices.

If you want to get someone's attention on Twitter in a nice way, it is better to send an "@" reply, a "mention" or "retweet" someone's tweet.

If you want to send me a personal message, it is better to use one of the contact, comment, or feedback forms on this website.

To Follow or not To Follow

That is the question. I recommend following only the accounts you are interested in. I recommend you follow me if you are interested in getting updates about what I am up to, this website, and if you might be interested in engaging with me in some way.

I may or may not follow new followers back. If you unfollow within a few days, I will probably never even see you, as I mentioned above.

Workbook of One Mind

What Inspires a Radical Collaboration?

Gratitude

Our gratitude permits our love to be accepted without fear. And thus are we restored to our Reality at last. All that intruded on our holy sight forgiveness takes away. And we draw near the end of senseless journeys, mad careers, and artificial values. We accept instead what God established as ours; sure that, in that alone, we are saved; sure that we go through fear to meet Love.
