Part Two of the Workbook Lessons - outline and preface

In different editions of A Course In Miracles there are different points at which "Part Two" of the Workbook Lessons begin. First, it should be recognized that the various sections, names and titles, are intended to be helpful, but are not part of the required Course. The Course is organized in its own way. There is a logic and order to the entire Course and it really does not matter where we might say where Part One ends and Part Two begins. I have seen some places where Part Two begins at Lesson 181. I have seen some where Part Two begins with Lesson 221. I once attended a Course group where the teacher would stop at Lesson 169 because, as he saw it, the lessons after that point were too esoteric to be taught in a group. With Lesson 221, the format of the lessons change slightly, but, at the start of Review 4, there is a message that states in the introduction, "This time, aware we are preparing for the second part of learning how the truth can be applied." Then, at Lesson 151, the focus of the lessons change from inward self to outward self. Therefore, I will go with declaring Part Two with Lesson 151. There is no other indication in the original typed pages that indicate a second part of the lessons other than at the start of Review 4.
